Excellent article! My mental health therapist has explained this phenomenon to me too and thinks as a writer online, I'm simply consuming too much information from too many sources. Well, yes -- all day long! I've been purposely restricting my media usage in the evenings in favor of playtime at the park with my dog, planting flowers in my yard and listening to podcasts. I feel much less mentally exhausted and overloaded. I do however make it a point to consume news from trusted sources for an hour each day so I'm not left unaware of life beyond my bubble!
